Enervit Sport Competition Whey Protein (420 g)

Enervit Sport Competition Whey Protein is a protein shake made from 100% whey protein concentrate. One 30 g serving provides 23.7 g (vanilla) or 23.4 g (cocoa) of protein, 5 g of BCAAs and 1.4 mg of vitamin B6, with no added sugars. A 420 g tub makes 14 shakes. Take it after training or whenever you need extra protein, mixed with water or semi-skimmed milk. Available in vanilla and cocoa flavours.

  • 23.4 to 23.7 g protein per 30 g serving
  • 5 g BCAAs per serving
  • No added sugars, sweetened with sucralose
  • Enriched with vitamin B6
  • 14 servings per 420 g tub

What is Enervit Sport Competition Whey Protein?

The powder consists of 97% (vanilla) or 93.9% (cocoa) milk whey protein concentrate, obtained by cross-flow microfiltration (CFMF). This is a membrane filtration method without chemical treatment. Whey is a complete protein: it contains all essential amino acids, is naturally rich in leucine and is absorbed quickly. With 78 to 79 g of protein per 100 g, this is a protein powder with a high protein density. The vanilla version gets its taste from natural flavouring, the cocoa version from real cocoa powder.

Protein after endurance training

Cyclists, runners and triathletes also benefit from enough protein after a long ride, an interval session or a race. Protein contributes to a growth in muscle mass and to the maintenance of muscle mass. Vitamin B6 contributes to normal protein and glycogen metabolism. A shake is convenient when a full meal is not immediately at hand.

The shake itself contains few carbohydrates (2.2 to 2.3 g per serving). After a long endurance session it is best combined with carbohydrates to replenish your glycogen stores, for example by mixing it with milk or eating a banana, bread or rice alongside it.

How to use

Dissolve 30 g of powder (2/3 of a scoop) in 200 ml of cold water or semi-skimmed milk and shake well in a shaker. Take the shake straight after training or as a high-protein snack between meals. Enervit recommends no more than one serving per day, taking into account the other protein sources in your diet. With 200 ml of semi-skimmed milk you get about 30 g of protein and 12 g of carbohydrates per shake.

Frequently asked questions

How much protein is in Enervit Sport Competition Whey Protein?
A 30 g serving contains 23.7 g of protein (vanilla) or 23.4 g (cocoa). Per 100 g of powder that is 79 g or 78 g of protein.

How many shakes does a 420 g tub make?
One tub provides 14 servings of 30 g.

When is the best time to take a protein shake?
The most logical moment is shortly after training. You can also take the shake between meals to spread your protein intake over the day. Most athletes do well with 20 to 30 g of protein per meal or snack.

Is a protein shake useful for cyclists and runners?
Yes. Endurance athletes need more protein per day than people who do not exercise, on average around 1.2 to 2 g per kilogram of body weight. A shake is mainly a practical way to reach that after a long training session.

Which flavour should I choose: vanilla or cocoa?
The nutritional values are very similar. Vanilla is slightly more neutral and combines easily with fruit or oats; cocoa has a richer taste thanks to real cocoa powder.

What is the difference between whey protein concentrate and whey protein isolate?
Isolate is filtered further, so it contains slightly more protein and less lactose and fat. Concentrate retains more of the milk and has a fuller taste. With 78 to 79 g of protein per 100 g, this concentrate is at the high end.

Is this whey protein lactose-free or vegan?
No. The product is made from milk and contains a small amount of lactose. It is therefore not suitable for a vegan diet and not lactose-free.

Does Enervit Whey Protein contain sugar?
No sugars are added. The 2.1 g (vanilla) or 1.7 g (cocoa) of sugars per serving occur naturally in the milk and, in the cocoa version, in the cocoa powder. The sweet taste comes from sucralose.

Should I mix the shake with water or milk?
With water you get a light shake of 122 to 123 kcal that digests quickly. With semi-skimmed milk it becomes creamier and you get extra protein and carbohydrates, which is useful after a long endurance session.
